Review on VELIMAX Rain Glass Window Film: Enhance Privacy & Decor with Removable UV Protection & Heat Control - 17.7 x 78.7 inches by Krista Johnson

I recently bought a house with an ugly patterned vinyl decal on the laundry room door. This is a fairly large central pane of glass. This movie looked good and I liked the simple design of the rain, I thought it would look better than the weird orange and brown monster that came before it. In any case, this film arrived rolled up like a paper towel. It's fairly easy to insert, but remember that it has a bit of "shape memory" so placing it right in front of the window isn't the easiest of tasks. Since every window is different (yup) I had to trim off some of the vertical and horizontal edges, but the rotary knife got the job done quickly. At this point, the only thing left was to remove the protective film and make sure that the air bubbles were squeezed out at the edges. Pretty painless process. The whole process is very similar to applying a film sheet to a cell phone screen. I also used a small spray bottle with very diluted soapy water during application. This tends to make things stick a little better and it's a lot easier to squeeze out any air bubbles. Another thing I did for this window film was use a blow dryer on the edges and corners. As I mentioned above, vinyl has some shape memory so the corners tend to peel off on their own as it gets used to being rolled. Hot air from a hairdryer smooths out these curves in just a few seconds. After processing the edges, everything lay perfectly flat. While applying it correctly requires some work, it doesn't come with any flaws in the product. It's a plastic roll, you have to put some effort into it. But with that effort, it really is a no-brainer and looks great on my door. Haven't slept in weeks without signs of flaking or movement, even with more than a little use.
