Very Bad Terrible Smell

Bought one for the bedroom and it didn't smell Half a year later I bought another one for the children's room Smell of grease/motor oil, the smell of new plastic is terrible a few days have passed and it's not getting any better. Turn on the fan and it smells really bad! We have a fan in the attic that ventilates the room but it doesn't help. What the hell?!?! We even checked if the wires are burning, but that's installed correctly. That makes me very nervous. So frustrating! This is a brand we know and trusted.
