I bought this camera to use while scuba diving. When it arrived I received it out of the box and so far it has lived up to everything it was advertised. I tried many different settings to see what effects they had. I tried it in my pool. The touchscreen menu is quite intuitive and takes some getting used to. The video is clear and fairly accurate in color. Photos are sharp and clear. At the moment I can tell you that the battery lasts over two hours before it needs to be recharged. I would like the XTU to contain two batteries. The manual is complete except for one piece of information. The wrist-worn remote charges, but how do you know it's fully charged? The camera is fully charged when the red light goes off, which is described in the book, but there is no information about the remote control. The camera comes with multiple attachments for use on helmets, bikes, cars, etc. According to the book with a water resistance of up to 30 meters. The description on the Revain says 40 meters. Since I will be snorkeling it doesn't matter. For me it could be a problem if I was diving. There are a few videos on You Tube that describe how to set up and use the S3. I've seen a gopro and for the money it doesn't get much better for me. I highly recommend the XTU S3. I can't wait to see how it works in sea snorkeling. I will most likely update videos or photos once I start snorkeling. Update: I took the camera on a trip to Hawaii. We snorkeled with dolphins and turtles. The camera was great. After reading my previous review, I have to correct the statement that the camera lasts more than two hours on one charge. I wanted to say that the camera works for at least 30 minutes on a fully charged battery. The photos and videos of the underwater world were great. I also have several videos of grandkids riding boogie boards or dodging waves. The camera worked pretty well and did what it was supposed to do. Definitely worth the money.
