Review on Heavy Duty Zinc Impact Sprinkler With Adjustable Base For Lawn, Yard, And Grass Irrigation - STYDDI Circular Pulsator Sprinkler by Mario Beats

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Powerful sprinkler, all metal as stated, but.

This is a good sprinkler, and on our water pressure, which is excellent, it has a lot of power and a long range. It's not really sprinkler season and so it has not had a thorough workout or anything to test its dependability, but I had to try it out.First, the assembly: It comes with the head and base separated so that it can ship in a flatter box, but they are easily screwed together. The threaded shaft on the sprinkler head is equipped with O-rings for seals and so I did not use Teflon thread tape. Mine doesn't leak in that area at all, but thread tape would do no harm. I hand tightened it, then about a quarter turn with a wrench finished it up.The hose connector had a nice rubber washer and screen inside to prevent debris from clogging the head. It sealed well to the hose end, but the back of that collar did allow some leakage between the sprinkler's brass hose connector and sprinkler base - nothing major, and it's just dripping on the lawn anyway, so no real harm. All of the settings and adjustments are typical for impact-style sprinklers and work well, although the rings to set the radius of rotation are very stiff to move at first. I assume they will get easier with a little use. The range of the stream without any interference from the diffusers is impressive - definitely no prostate problems in this little dude!About my only issue other than the tiny bit of leakage and stiff initial adjustments is that the base, while metal as stated, is surprisingly light weight. If I could change one thing, I'd make the base heavier for both stability and durability. It won't get brittle in the sunlight like the plastic ones eventually do, but it is light enough that the zinc alloy (a soft, not very durable type of metal) could easily chip or break with any rough handling. It does have a nice finish on it, which I hope will last.

Pros
  • HEAVY DUTY BASE ENSURING NON FLIPPING OVER - The base of a sprinkler plays a vital role in determining its stability. This impact sprinkler has the all zinc alloy construction, which means its base is heavy enough to avoid tipping over with proper water pressure. You can set it anywhere you need and it is very handy for lawns and gardens.
Cons
  • The sprinkler may be difficult to repair if it becomes damaged
