Ignore the naysayers, buy a bottle when it's on sale and give it a try. I don't normally spend that much time writing a review... But this worked great for most of our problem areas. If that doesn't work well enough, mix with alcohol (higher alcohol content is better, ensure good ventilation) and rub into the stain or smelly area. To the negative reviewers, or whoever they may be referring to: A bit of work for a rug that we've had persistent urine issues with. If the urine has become discolored or discolored in a stain, you will still have that discoloration. So I'll say all the negative reviews with pictures I've seen, it's not magic. It's just basic chemistry. You can't bleach your sofa. And if you have a lot of urine in something, even with the addition of alcohol (also improves drying time, but avoid inhaling fumes and airing!) alcohol might do the trick to get rid of the odor. It has worked to reduce the smell to a point where I certainly can't detect it. Well, it's no wonder for a cat not to pee anywhere, so don't hold your breath, but as some say, it's definitely great for toilet training accidents. If you've been waiting and your cat has a habit of peeing, I'd end up with a product specifically designed to "repel" cats (some products sold as anti-scratch products should work), but removing or reducing odors actually helps. . This alone may not be enough. All in all, I would highly recommend this product as part of any cat owner's cleaning arsenal. (***NOTE TO ALL CAT OWNERS: Cat urine is high in ammonia and can itself be toxic if left to build up heavily, but never use bleach on it. This creates very, very toxic fumes that can cause injury or even humans or pets kill.) Cats are amazing animals, but sometimes they're hard to train. We love our kittens and therefore we accept such problems. At least there are ways to make cleaning a lot easier and safer! This is definitely one of them. Good luck to everyone (including kittens)!
