I am a female and purchased this product to prevent shaving of infected hair follicles. I bought this product instead of the purple "women" version because it has more features and is cheaper you see (another "women tax" example, I see you Val). Anyhoo seems to do the trick. It seems to struggle at times when it hits the thicker areas of the hair, but it still works. I use a battery. I also tried the nose hair trimmer because at least we women have nose hair too and I found it a bit uncomfortable. But probably better than scissors. The lack of painful, nasty bumps on my skin is very valuable.
