I bought this tool because of its features and price compared to other code readers like this one. My SRS light came on and the code reader I currently had couldn't extract the code and I wanted to know what was wrong with my van before taking it to the dealer for diagnosis. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this code reader (SC680) as it wasn't listed as an offer on the CGSULIT shop and website. I contacted support to ask if the SC860 is a new code reader. It took me a few days to get an answer but it turns out the SC860 is one of the latest versions. Upgrading the database is easy with the upgrade app. When updating for the first time, just download the updates you need as it takes a lot of time to download, authorize and install in the code reader. Only update the stamps you need initially, it saves you a lot of time. It was very easy to use. Connected to my OBDII port, selected Auto Vin, confirmed vehicle details and selected Scan. It passed all the tests available in the tool, it flashed the lights, beeped, ran the ECU diagnostics and displayed the detected faults in each category. Did you select and press the errors? for detailed information on the codes found and their meaning. Once you have read the codes and made the repairs, the codes will simply be cleared for you. Great tool for your money.
