I had to. I came across this point while browsing and reading the comments. It sounded good but a little off. I mean all the comments were about feeding locusts to lizards. So. Of course I had to order a canned coupe and see. Yes, you guessed it, I ordered and ate them. They are freshly canned and sealed well enough to arrive in good condition. The aroma was somewhat nutty with hints of rotten wood. Out of the can, they were more of a nutmeg. Not very tasty, but not overpowering either. But to enjoy them, sauté them in butter with a pinch of garlic salt. Just a touch. Pretty good, and they take on a crunchier texture and toasted flavor. I'm guessing this is the only gourmet review you'll see if the review was a consumer, though. Someone had to do it.
