Review on QianLink 2-Pack USB 3.0 Adapter, Aluminum Type A Female to Female Connector Converter, USB 3.0 Coupler Female to Female Adapter (Red) by Hikeboy Ramey

I bought this adapter to connect an external USB 3 Type-A SSD to the USB 3.2 Type-C port on my laptop. It did not work. The light on the external hard drive came on indicating it was getting power from the adapter, but the SSD would not connect to the laptop or my desktop computer if it was USB-3 to USB-3 . Tried both adapters from the kit, neither worked. However, when I bypassed the adapter and plugged the same SSD into the Type-A connector, everything worked fine.
