The design turned out to be crooked due to the fabric being tightened in a hurry. There were raw edges and the overall quality was really cheap. This is a good idea but poorly thought out as it goes much deeper than the image suggests; no less than 1/2 the depth of the lampshade. Since it has to go over the headboard, it totally interferes with sleeping or moving around unless you have an unusually high headboard. The only way to attach it to the headboard is to bend the brackets, which will only make them loosen. You must use an incandescent light bulb as it only works once. Sorry but I had to send it back. Update: I'm wondering if I received a different product/manufacturer. I didn't have plastic-over-metal hooks. However, they could be bent. 4/19/13 The seller was very gracious in taking the item back, but when I asked to ship it in the original packaging, I was told it would cost almost the same as the item's price on UPS or USPS. Instead of sending it back for the $2 I gave it to a friend who hung it on the wall above his bed - bigger and much better and they appreciate it. So think everything about this item before you order it. This might work better for some than others, but you don't want to send it back.
