OK, so for the price and looks - excellent. It's basically, dare I say it, a Francis and Sons fake that costs over $300, so come on guys. Everything arrived fine, no dents, no threads etc. Arrived within the delivery window. I've been waiting a long time to buy this based on the reviews. However, it appeared as a Prime with free returns. Details. By the way, you don't have to look at the instructions for assembly. It's pretty clear when it arrives. I'm not an electrician either. Threading the wires through the pieces is tricky, but with patience and ingenuity I managed it. This is programmed for your information. I wanted a plug so we cut the plug off, plugged it in (although we didn't have ANY switch plugged into it as it generated too much heat so we removed it for now), put the wires in the plug wires, we could all get in and voila. It wasn't super difficult. I really think it's a pretty decent product. This is a 40W lamp. I think the company was just trying to fix errors in previous reviews. I think it's actually pretty cool of the company to offer a plug-in version. see Questions and Answers. I wish I could see this BEFORE I order, I would ask them to adjust their listings if you ask at checkout. In general I like it very much. and saved $200 on other versions and $60 on shipping for another. Super excited about that. I had no issues other than the lame paper instructions that came with it, but again, just refer to the specs on the Revain product image.
