Does not protect iPad mini or other similar rotating cases.

I have used these before and will buy again as the bearing/hinge area wears out over time. I would normally give a 4 or 5 because the case protects the front and back of the iPad mini. Unfortunately, this particular product didn't really fit an iPad mini as the two corners weren't deep enough. I sent it back and received the 2nd case. I kept this because 3 of the 4 corners properly attached the iPad mini. I like the style of the case but not this manufacturer.
