First, these garden tools don't rust and still don't rust on me. I left them out in the rain as I forgot to put them back in my garden bag and even after leaving them in the rain for 2 days and then in the sun they still show no signs of rust or damage. The instruments themselves are very strong. Whether I'm trimming our flower bushes, small hedges, digging up weeds or whatever, these tools are perfect for whatever job I've used them for. Clippers are a lot stronger and sharper than I thought. We have a few small hedges that need a quick trim from time to time and a large hibiscus plant with thick branches and these cutters cut through it like nothing. I didn't have to make a few cuts and then break the branch like with other machines I've had. Whether I'm wearing gardening gloves or not, these pens are really strong and sturdy. Great set of tools and I love how sturdy they are.
