I wear socks or slippers at home every day. We have a hard tile floor throughout; having some cushion on my feet is helpful to keep my legs from aching by the end of the day. Someone recommended ortho slippers. These are really nice. There's good arch support as well. They're very comfortable (cushy but not squishy) and of excellent quality. I typically wear a 7.5 shoe so went with the 8 Wide Women/6 Men. My heel comes just inside the lip of the back of the shoe perfectly. The width at the ball of my foot is adequate. The velcro strap enables you to adjust the width slightly. The material is durable and it has good tread on the bottom of the sole. Definitely recommend this pair of slippers.
