Great once you get used to it.

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for about a month. I do not see any new hair growth, but my hair is long so I may just not notice it yet. I just had my hair cut and colored last week, and my beautician asked what I was using because she said she had never seen my hair in such great condition before. I told her about it, and she is getting some for herself! I am much happier with my hair since using these products, but I will tell you that the shampoo takes some getting used to. The first few weeks my hair seemed very greasy. I almost stopped using the products, but I decided to give it a full month. The shampoo doesn't strip the natural oils from my hair, but my scalp didn't get that memo. It took a good 3 weeks before my scalp stopped producing so much oil. Now I can actually go longer in between shampoos! The directions say the shampoo is concentrated and you don't need very much. That is just wrong! I need significantly more of this shampoo than I do regular shampoo. I did learn that adding water helps to distribute the shampoo, and does help it get creamier. It does not lather though (that's because there are no sulfates). I'm still learning so sometimes I add too much water and it just washes the shampoo out, but if I add just a little the shampoo is easier to massage into my scalp and I am able to use less shampoo. I am getting better at using this shampoo the more I use it. I do use much less now than when I first started, but I still use approximately 2x more than regular shampoos. I'm hoping to continue to get better at using this shampoo. As for the conditioner, it works just like any other conditioner. I don't put very much near my scalp though because it is harder to wash out. I find I don't need very much of the conditioner at all which sort of makes up for the extra I need of the shampoo. I would definitely recommend this product, but caution new users to be patient and give the products a full month before deciding if they like it or not as your hair and scalp have to adjust to the lack of sulfates and harsh chemicals.

Pros
  • Hair Care
Cons
  • May not provide enough hydration for extremely dry hair
