July 2020 rating update. We purchased this part in July 2019 and it has been almost exactly a year since the coil broke and we had to replace the part again. I will update if the part we just bought fails again. I originally left 5 stars. I've since lowered it to 3. I first read the reviews on here and it seems people are getting confused about the details. The DC47-00016a is the fuse that sits on the back of the fan (pictured), not on the heater side. The fuse that is on the side of the heating element is the one that comes with the bracket fitted to it. They have two different temperature levels. Be careful what you replace. We have replaced all parts of the Samsung DV331AER/XAA dryer and they all fit correctly. The fuse shown in the above image can be easily replaced on this model by going through the small opening on the back where the hose connects to the dryer. Two screws and that's it. The heating element and other parts are easier to remove from the front. There are some helpful videos on YouTube that will walk you through this process step by step. Please note that we did not have to remove the drum to replace any of these parts. My only concern is that the far right panel, right where the heating element is, gets very hot. Nothing else is hot on the dryer, not the top or anything else. The other side gets warm, but not super hot. I'm a little concerned. We cleaned the vents and pipe and they go to the outside wall and straight out so nothing gets clogged so I'm not sure if it's always been that hot in there or not. I have never checked this. I will say that after the first few cycles, the burning smell goes away when you open the dryer. So for us it was ok. The clothes come out very warm and you will definitely notice the difference. Our old heating element had a broken coil so it stopped drying clothes. Since we took everything apart, we just replaced the other parts that came with it, just in case. Aside from one side seat getting very hot, there are no other complaints from our side (yet). Will be updated when something changes. Update we are still great and the heating on one side has cooled down a bit.
