I'm pretty sure we've been scammed here. A certain pressure drop is to be expected with every carbon block cartridge. When you first install a new filter I would also expect some charcoal dust to come out. With these filters, as far as I can tell, there is no flow restriction. The water shoots out like a rocket. And when it was first installed, there was no coal dust. No one! Not to mention that the cartridges themselves (when not filled with water) are very light. Curious if there is any media in this thing at all. If I find anything noteworthy in it, I'll update this review with a picture. Anyway, I don't have a water tester. But the original Moen cartridge uses the same block-type activated carbon filter, and you have to run it for a good minute to clean all the media. That alone tells me there is practically nothing in them. Forget it, I think they're coming back.
