These are definitely not blackout curtains. (I have the beige.) I'm quite disappointed and trying to decide if it's worth going back. There's noticeably less light in the room, but if you're looking for something completely opaque then this definitely isn't it. They look decent and have a decent weight and drape. Nothing special, but nothing bad either. But calling it an "eclipse" is completely wrong. I can even see the window frame through the curtain. There is a very noticeable darker line in the middle of the curtain where the top and bottom of the window meet. It's definitely not "strikethrough". If you want curtains to darken your room, that's fine. If you want a blackout, that's not even close. Keep searching.
