I ordered this lovely round cushion to cover a thin/scratchy polyester cover over a wooden seat. I appreciate how the bottom texture of this cushion helps it stick to the polyester below, so that I get no slips or slides when I turn in my seat. It's softer than wood, of course, but it's also thick enough to offer some support. Yay memory foam.I liked choosing a fabric that suits my decor.
