I always get the 'winter blues' this time of year. I had heard about light panel therapy before, but highly doubted the validity of it. A couple of months ago, my doctor mentioned it to me, and suggested that I look into purchasing a light therapy lamp.I received this lamp about 2 weeks ago, and set it up immediately. I put it on the kitchen table while I eat breakfast, and then again during dinner. It's roughly the size of a tablet or iPad, and small enough to tuck away into a kitchen cabinet or drawer if I want to. I especially like the standing bracket, because it's easy to put where I need it. The device has a timer and three levels of brightness. I'm noticing a positive change in my mood, and I'm sleeping better. Who knows, perhaps it's a placebo effect. But since my doctor did recommend that I try it, I'm more apt to believe that there really is something that works about this.
