The only downside you may find is that there are no instructions with the product. They fit my 2010 F-150 without the universal mount. I already had the mounting holes for individual bolts on each bracket from the old footpegs. These holes made it easier to align the steps. All I needed was a metal drill bit, a 13mm socket and a wrench. Durable product and easy installation. It gives my wife and daughter the boost they need to get into the truck without sacrificing ground clearance and truck looks. Time will tell how long they last but so far the product is as advertised. As for the lack of instructions, you can install YouTube and get a pretty good idea of what you need to do. Then stand under the car and hold onto the step. It quickly becomes clear where you mount them and whether you need a universal mount. 👍🏼
