The loom is very durable, the instructions are easy to read and are accompanied by photos. The finished size of the potholder is smaller than that of a loom, but large enough to protect hands when handling hot objects. The colored bows that came with the kit were a good example, but I'd suggest buying some other pattern packs. Later you can buy individual packs with the colors you prefer. The loops are a little pricey, but they make for a nice, tightly woven, and comfortable potholder. The sample booklet contains a few ideas to try out. The metal hook used for weaving is great, but the plastic hook included would be the only thing that could have been better. It bends easily, making it a little harder to work the edges. I use a metal hook that I had and it definitely speeds up the finishing process. All in all a great price!
