As others have already written, the magnet lacks some holding power. It's strong enough to stick the tool to a good, solid metal surface, but risks slipping when placed on anything smaller. It's easy to fix with conjured fakes or whatever, but like I said, for the money it's a good tool. The functionality of the actual indicator just seems great.
