The wristband that comes stock is sufficient, but this band makes it feel more like a watch. So having not to worry as much against the elements is a nice thing. It is very comfortable to wear. I'm a larger man and the watch fits nicely into this band and is easy to use all the functions of my watch. I highly recommend.
