Extremely clear sound for music and gaming

As mentioned in the title I bought this for occasional music listening (very regular now due to all the quarantine) and gaming. In CS and Overwatch I can finally hear footsteps properly and know exactly where they're coming from! Before that I've been using HD 598's for the last 3 years and while they're still great they're far from the best. the sound quality of these headphones. I will continue to use the HD 598 for work as they are closed. Before I bought this I tried the Beyerdynamics 990/880, the Sennheiser HD 599 and the beautiful HD 6XX. Unfortunately, with the exception of the 599, other earbuds started hurting my ears after about 20-30 minutes, so I decided to pay a little more and get these. I understand that sound quality is subjective, so I'll just tell you what was important to me. I use them with a Schitt stack (Heresy Modi3/Magni) and they sound phenomenal to my ears. I'm not a music lover, but I do listen to .Flac songs on my computer, either from CD rips or Tidal. These headphones also have the widest soundstage I've ever heard. It's a bit mundane, but the songs really come alive. Be aware that they let in a lot of noise, even by open standards. I could hear them playing from another room in my apartment. They're very comfortable headphones that I can use for hours on minimum settings, if I'm not wearing glasses I have to fiddle with them about every 20 minutes. They seem durable enough to last a while, but based on their track record, I'll probably buy an extended warranty just to be on the safe side. I've seen other people complain about the cord, but I think the swivel feature next to the port is a great addition and the cord length, while relatively short, is perfect for my home needs. All in all, these are great headphones that have made my days and nights at home more interesting. I would love to try Ananda but they are out of my price range. If you can afford these headphones, go for it. Nothing will beat it at this price.

Pros
  • New headband design with a separate headband that perfectly evenly distributes the headphone's weight on the wearer's head. This provides both a more comfortable fit and a more pleasing appearance.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
