Great for cats that hate closed boxes but have a problem ordering

update: I still love this box, it's holding up great. Also a tip: if your cat kicks open doors and throws garbage everywhere, you can solve this problem by taking a hair tie and attaching it to the doorknobs. This will make the kittens go in and out through the DOOR instead of making a mess. .Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have two cats and one of them always refused closed boxes. I chose this cabinet because it is larger than most and unlike many others it has a large side opening. I also bought Precious Cat cat litter as it needs to be as dust free as possible and I wanted to make the box more attractive, at least initially. Worked like a charm, both cats boxed well. You'll still want to put our rug on the floor (I bought a nice 'welcome rug' to put in front of the door), but it looks MUCH better than looking at the tray. You still have to sweep up the garbage, but having a closet like this is a big improvement. The only issue we had was that the drawer came with the wrong parts. We had two pieces that were destined for the same side, meaning we couldn't install the drawer at all. However, we decided to just leave the drawer open so there is more room in it for our cat, who hates boxes with lids. We're worried it might still feel too tight for her after installing the box, so we'll just fix it. But I still have to deduct a star for this issue, you should get what you pay for without having to call and complain. Also, one thing that has helped my cats transition to a new litter box is that I have a system where I always keep their food on the table right above their litter box. I think since they never forget where the food is, they are never confused about where the tray is either. This system worked PERFECTLY. You can't store food next to a crate, or many cats won't want to eat it (can you blame them?), but food and water above the crate work great. When it happened I just put her food in the cupboard and we didn't have a single accident. I'm glad I bought this. Just watch the prices for a while, it's expensive even on a good sale.
