Until I was able to buy the RTX 3070 they seemed like high quality braided extensions. In preparation for a new GPU I tried connecting everything and found 6 pins on the 6x2 GPU cables. fits, but 2 pins can not fit comfortably. By forcibly inserting it, it pulled the extension cable's pins on the 2-pin connector out of its plastic case, and upon further inspection, the connectors on my PSU's GPU cable were nearly destroyed as it deformed the socket somewhat. I stopped here. Thankfully, the warped pins still work with my new GPU, but I'm happy to sacrifice aesthetics for functionality. I had no intention of trying them on a 24 pin power connector as I've heard horror stories of this happening and people's motherboards actually being shorted out. Trust non-standard cables unless they are: non-standard. Full braid going from the power supply to the components. Now I don't trust any brand anymore.
