I should have studied the reviews (the latter are mostly negative). This ionizer is a marketing advertisement and does not work. I didn't notice any change in the air in the two rooms for several hours. It's not just poor quality control - it's a dumping ground for Chinese junk. No safety warning needed - the voltage on the exposed brushes is zero and I touched them as well to be sure. I did a "smoke test" with paper smoke - nothing for 2 minutes. Even 1/10th of the claimed 34 million ions per second would show a noticeable reduction in smoke. I will receive a Revain refund.
