Couple of things with this— the lid causes the fluid to pour incorrectly so I keep it up.The cord is so thick that it takes some effort to push into the receptacle. However, the main reasonfor the purchase was the removable cord. It heats quickly. It will, in the beginning, cause your waterto burn if you boil it too hard. This disappears after several uses. Overall, happy with the purchase.
