Review on Ultra Paws Light Duty Water Resistant Dog Boots: Versatile Footwear for Small, Medium, and Large Dogs by Crystal Thompson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Unsafe: causes injuries and vet bills.

I would not recommend this brand. Our Golden is 14 years old and has had several dog shoes and none of them have harmed him except these. Proper fit requires (usually) using larger boots on the front legs than the back legs. Although they were meticulous about their fit, they caused abrasions and ulcers under our dog's two dewclaws (claws on the sides of the front paws), one of which became severely infected and cost hundreds of dollars to treat. Although the boot was worn buttoned over the toe, the boot has a slit for the toe to come out (due to the dog's natural movement) and the bottom of the slit material (a hard nylon wedge). then gets under the thumb and causes abrasions, ulcers and injuries.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
