I didn't expect that. My daughter eats strawberries like they're going out of style. I thought it was a ticket but it's pretty cheap. Not only the price, but also the quality. It's wobbly and I have a feeling I'm going to break it. If your strawberries aren't the PERFECT firmness and texture, they will be mashed instead of sliced. I don't know if the blades aren't sharp enough or what, but my wife and I tried to cut about a dozen each and it didn't work. Even if it is cut cleanly, the size of the finished cut berry is very thin. Not what you think of sliced strawberries. You probably should have done it with a triangular, wedge-shaped blade so it actually looks like a strawberry when you're done, or at least spread the blade just enough to get a real "chunk" and not a flimsy thing, that falls apart When you're done, try to pick it up.
