So far we love it! We only got to wear them outside once but the kids seemed warm and warm. The 2-year-old wasn't a huge fan of the face mask and kept it down but that was to be expected and it was easy for him to keep it down and out of the way. Both my 2 year old and 3.5 year old have heads in the 95th percentile - these hoods were a bit large on both but didn't bother. I put one on myself and it fit really well, although the neck piece wasn't low enough to fully cover my neck. With that in mind I think they should suit both the older kids and the younger group quite well. I only have two negative points: Immediately after packing it smelled very strongly of chemicals. I washed one immediately and left the other to see if the smell would go away on its own. The odor faded slightly within 24 hours but was still slightly noticeable when applied directly to the face. I recommend washing before wearing! The second minus is the switches. I don't know if it's the user's fault or if they're not wearing the ties properly, but I can't get these things to block. It doesn't really matter as the hoods fit my kids perfectly without being too tight, but they could be a bit more windproof if I could get them to work.
