I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

For Rostelecom, we drive in the settings -
country "Other",
provider "Other",
PPPoE connection type,
login ptn, password ptn,
VPI=0,
VCI=35.
All.
Got pros:
It just works.
Does not heat up (ventilation holes are not in vain made)
3-year warranty (during this time, either ADSL technology will die, or the modem will burn out from our lines).
This is not the first such modem, they really work for three years, do not hang, they do not need to be rebooted every 12 hours.
Has some cons:
There is no setting for Rostelecom (I don’t consider this a downside)
