This item has become a must on our daughter's Christmas list. She is 15 years old and spends a lot of time doing her hair. She also loves doing other people's hair. The item was delivered quickly and luckily in an Amazon box so she didn't see it delivered. We found the iron itself to be heavy and it took us a while to get used to it. After using it several times, she became very good at curling other people's hair. It really helps when someone else styles your hair to get even curls or waves. Our daughter has long hair, about 3/4 the length of her back. I would recommend this item for teenagers or older people.
