Great technology from 500 years ago. Yay Galileo!

Its "accuracy" is +/- 2 degrees as it is the distance between the bulbs. Each lightbulb attached to a metal temperature tag maintains the same weight within a fixed volume. However, the liquid they are suspended in becomes less dense as it expands at a higher temperature, causing the spheres to sink. The lowest floating ball is the current temperature. The wooden frame is also well made and finished and matches the furniture I placed it on. Very nice gift but I keep it for myself and buy a pair for friends.
