They do what they're meant to do well. The only reason I have 4 stars instead of 5 is because of this. 1 - The black and orange ink pads were the only 2 of the 5 that felt "new" - or in other words, they were full of ink. The other 3 colors - blue, yellow and purple - looked like they were just filled with the minimum amount of ink to pass the test. You have to press a little to get a good color impression. 2 - If I decided to make improvements I would add them where the caps attach to the ink pad itself. I ended up gluing one side of the ink pad and the cap together, afraid the ink would dry out otherwise. (I keep these in my pen case with my markers/highlighters, so there's always a chance of the caps falling off the ink pads.
