Only fits 1.5" thick handmade leather belts, wider, no. There is no space problem on a standard strap. Seems to be of good quality and functionality. I will not buy another car key and Lose followers more.Used a belt clip that had been used for years, slipped onto a belt and held securely but that was on a 1" dress belt. It seems the belt clip didn't hold up well on my wider belt and slipped off. Big mistake. Take this block, don't lose the key like I did
