Review on Presto 85772 Turbo by Ryuta Marantz

We recently started pressure cooking. My wife found a pressure cooker that someone had left in our church mailboxes. Since she had never used one before, she wanted to try it. We quickly found that they wouldn't work without a regulator so I had to buy one first. As a typical guy, I wanted to know what pressure we were talking about and that was the reason I bought a Presto vapor gauge. Nothing happened when the temperature rose. It took a few minutes for the pressure to build up. I think the old adage that a well watched pot never boils is true. haha regulator finally started dancing at the 10lb mark. Print. We found 12 to 13 pounds. This is the magic number for best results. If it gets too hot, turn the heat down. This gauge works great; However, I was a little worried about the seal. If you over tighten it will spurt out from behind the washer. This is an easy fix, just don't over tighten and it will seal perfectly. haha
