Eco-Friendly / Good Enough

I usually buy Bounty Essentials paper towels so I compare 7th generation paper towels to these. Both are a scaled down version of the full thickness paper towel and both come in a size range option. The weight and thickness of each appear to be the same. The 7th generation towels are embossed on one side only. The other side is flat. The bounty is stamped everywhere. In the 2nd photo I held them up to the light. The 7th generation towels are slightly thicker. Then I soaked some water in each one. Bounty absorbed water better. The 7th generation squeezes the liquid a little more. The bounty is definitely more absorbable, but it's a small win. I sprayed some cleaner and the Gen 7 towel worked great. Conclusion: 7th generation for more environmental friendliness. For my needs, full-thickness paper towels are not needed in most cases. The Bounty Essentials are perfect and the 7th gen seems to work just as well for my purposes. If I get through the first roll I may update this post. For now, I'm happy with the reduction in paper usage.
