Review on 🎨 MNpartnery Pottery Wheel Art Craft Toys - Complete Kids Art Kit for DIY Pottery Studio with Air Dry Clay Modelling Clay - Family School Beginner Education Sets in Blue-Pink by Lori Aguirre

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Poor engine performance

Seeing this reminded me of the toy I most admired and disillusioned with as a child. Not much seems to have changed since then. This wheel is powered by batteries, which means it will slow down as you put pressure on it. Too strong to be really useful. So I used a real potter's wheel, actually several, both electric and pedal, in weekend classes at our local museum and camp. This might be less of a disappointment to a child who hasn't used a real potter's wheel before, but an adult needs to guide them so they don't push too hard. I would recommend using some air dried clay as it is the lightest print and the easiest to manipulate. The assembly wasn't that difficult, although there are no instructions, almost everything is in Chinese. My husband told me he thought I shouldn't use the clay that came with it because there are so many cheap parts out there. For example, the included line for cutting clay and taking it off the wheel is the lightest I've seen. However, it's closer to "real" gear than most kids' sets, which is why I gave it a 4-star rating. I also find that it can be used, albeit carefully, with either very wet clay or something light and pliable like air-dried clay. I would recommend the latter because then they have something to store and don't need an oven to make it permanent.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
