Review on 🍚 Zojirushi NP-HCC18XH Induction Heating System Rice Cooker and Warmer - Efficient 1.8 L Stainless Dark Gray Appliance by Matt Travers

My wife and I have been cooking rice in a 5-layer stainless steel pot on the stove for many years and we like it. It wasn't bad, but sometimes it was hard to control. We finally decided to buy a rice cooker. I didn't want to go to Walmart and buy a $20 rice cooker that would be worse than the stovetop method. Literally after a month of reading blogs, reviews on Revain and various culinary websites came up with 2 rice cookers. This and Tiger JKT-S18U with Taccook function. The number of reviews it has received compared to anything Tiger has made has been mind blowing, and the Tiger model cost nearly $100 for the vape feature! I ordered this Zojirushi and the moment we opened the rice cooker when the time was up it was like our rice was being cooked on the stove. When we finally tried it, it seemed like the other reviewers were right. This is the best rice we have ever cooked! We have never had such crumbly rice. We tried jasmine rice which is probably our favorite and also brown rice which is great too. It's not chewy or too bland, just a perfect GABA brown rice that was a bit chewy for us but very good. We still have to make multigrain rice, black or red rice, or sushi rice. We'll make them soon and check them out. We've made both steel rolled oats and old fashioned oats and they were delicious. My wife cooked some fresh pears she bought from Kroger and they were just amazing. Yes it is a rice cooker but I think with a little imagination we can cook different dishes in it. I have to tell you, two of the latest kitchen appliances we've bought have been very popular. First of all it's the Instant Pot, I don't know how we've gotten along without it all these years (it has a rice setting and if you go to their website you can see how to make good rice that was actually no worse than that , which my wife cooked on the stove) and the Zojirushi rice cooker. This thing is just amazing. If you love rice, you will love cooking it here. I think what makes it great is the induction heating and the fact that it's powered by MICOM. Trust me it's important.
