#1 - It comes with a black plastic shot glass on top. Just take it off and throw it in the trash. Underneath is the usual clear plastic screw cap found on any other water bottle. #2 - This bottle is the perfect size for a leisurely day hike or just for getting around town and doing your own thing. So far my thirst has never exceeded the amount of liquid it can hold. #3 - It's thin and seems to go perfectly with the mesh side pockets found on almost every backpack. #4 - It has an easily removable red plastic sleeve. I'm not sure what it's for, but it might be useful. When you put it in the side mesh pocket (see #3), it forms a pocket that you can easily put your bottle in. Even if your backpack is full, you still have room for your bottle. Also, you could probably poke some small holes in it and use some wire to attach it to something. Or you can just throw it away. #5 - The bottle is made of durable yet flexible Nalgene plastic. According to the Nalgene website, this one is free of BPA, BPS, and phthalates. I ordered two and liked them so much that I'm ordering two more because I can't be sure they'll be available next time I need to buy some (see negative reviews). And no, I am not paid by Nalgene. I just hope everyone starts using them so people don't think I'm gulping alcohol every time I bring them.
