When they arrived I gave one to my 6 year old. Of course, she had never used a pen before, but she was able to break the tip off in less than an hour. So I changed the springs but she changed them all in just 3 days. I'm not sure if they are too fragile or something so I wouldn't recommend them for children under 6 years old. Especially when they have no idea how to use it.
