After untying a few just once the velcro separated from the jewel and stuck to another velcro. They can only be used once if you don't want to spend time gluing or sewing each piece of Velcro. Very pretty, just wish the velcro would stick to the jewels better. Not sure if I'll use it for my daughter's wedding or not. I just don't want people to think they're cheap and trashy. I say people will undo the velcro to get to the cutlery - my husband says most people would just slip off the cutlery. If I use them, I really hope he's right!
