Review on 🐱 NUTRO Perfect Portions Grain-Free Wet Cat Food, Cuts in Gravy, Twin-Packs of 12 and 24 Counts by Angie Gonzalez

It doesn't vomit so it's great but every time I open it it squirts me

So if you have a picky cat with a sensitive digestive system and were devastated than Nutro his cans ran out of food, we're in the same boat. As for the new version, two of the four flavors I tried didn't make her vomit. Sometimes she will eat it enthusiastically, sometimes she will wrinkle her nose and stuff herself with kibble instead. Packaging is a real problem for me. First off, this is definitely a step in the wrong direction in terms of sustainability, although you could argue that in the name of ease of transportation and the cost of recycling metal, there might be some benefits to using plastic packaging. with foil lid. However, I had trouble packing for a number of reasons. 1) I've found it's impossible to open without spraying and I haven't yet figured out how to predict which direction it will spray in order to get it on my hands, walls, the floor and parts to get the food bowl. what I'm not looking for. Not a pleasant experience. Secondly, for me as a person with some physical limitations it is very difficult and painful to pull on the tab hard enough to actually break the seal and it quickly becomes tedious when you feed the cat two or three, sometimes four packets of it Day. 3) Because the food makes such a mess when opened, I don't feel like I can keep it in the fridge, nor do I want to deal with trying to give out only half the contents of a section. But the cat only ever eats half, and since the new "cuts" look like tiny pieces while the jars had reasonably sized pieces, as the cat spreads out after eating the first half, the food begins to dry out. She doesn't want to eat it when it's dry. She prefers to eat kibble but I want her to be well hydrated. As an aging cat, she is prone to constipation, so it is important that she gets as much moisture out of her food as possible. 3) I find it inexcusable to switch from recyclable packaging to single-use plastic at a time when there is so much garbage in the world. As others have noted, reduce the overall portion size (if you're feeding your cat both halves of one of these small containers per day, you're feeding them significantly less than if you fed them a can the day before. So I'm reckoning, that the packaging is wasteful, the packaging is difficult to handle, dirty, stinks and uncomfortable to store if you only want to give out part of the contents after opening, and the cost ends up being much higher than the previous iteration in Cans, due to the smaller volume combined with more waste (the cat leaves more food behind.) But at least she likes it enough that she isn't unhappy (and she gets very unhappy when given wet food, which she really doesn't like) , because she eats it most of the time and that the flavor of chicken and salmon, while not her favorite, does not make her vomit She seems in good health e.g be u Maybe even better than canned food of those kinds, and it's nice. But overall I'm disappointed with the brand and would be a lot happier if they brought back the old formula and packaging or changed the formula a bit to keep all the improvements they've made to the nutrients but into a more manageable, recyclable and return more affordable product. .
