I have a 100 square foot lab/warehouse and since I live in a valley the humidity gets very high. Using a compressor based dryer is too expensive in terms of electricity, which is why I went with it. It works? I think so, the humidity ranges between 60-80% here, and in about a day the tank was half full, which means it's pulling moisture out of the air. And the humidity dropped by 2-3% 500 sqm? Definitely overpriced marketing because I am using this room which is 1/5 the advertised size and even 1% change in humidity takes time. It brought full thanks for two days of commitment. So he does something and the room doesn't smell of musky like it used to. There's also a sleep feature and timer that really help manage how long you can work. You can adjust the humidity level and when it gets lower the unit will automatically turn itself off, but I can't say it would be useful in a large room, so 500 square feet is a range. I also like the design and the noise level, and it works better than the waterproofing buckets I've used before.
