I wanted to love this bookend but it wasn't level and wobbled when I put it on the bed I first stood on and use wanted it. Also, the cup holder was only about two inches deep (I forgot to measure, so I'm guessing) but you could easily tip the cup over. It would still be good for a child or anyone who likes to sit on the floor and read or type. If you use it on a table you have to stand as it is too high to sit down and use.
