Review on Portable acoustics JBL Charge 4, 30 W, red by Makoto Oonishi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

Now that it was finally in my grasp, the sausage from JBL had been a long time coming. The reason it took such a long time to arrive was because I placed my order for it on November 20, 2012 on a website that is very popular in China. As a result of the large number of people who wanted to sample freebies, my order was not processed and shipped for an inexcusably long period of time. It was selected solely on the basis of intangible factors, and I personally have several JBL products (including headphones and portable acoustics) and have always been pleased with the brand's reputation for producing high-quality audio. I feel obligated to state right off the bat that the quality of the sound is, for me, the most important aspect, and that in exchange for a good sound, I am willing to overlook a great deal. I consider myself a moderate audiophile because I favor flac and DAC as the sound source, and because I have experience in the fields of music composition and mastering, which means I have some knowledge regarding the quality of sound. Now, a little bit more on the topic at hand. This device strikes what I consider to be a [almost] ideal balance between all of the attributes that I highlighted in the section labeled "Pros." Some people claim that the thing in question has a lot of weight, but because I have nothing else to gauge it against, I cannot say whether or not I find the device's heft to be an advantage or disadvantage. The only obvious drawback is the sound when the volume is turned up to the middle or higher. At low and medium volumes, the sound is very decent, but with a slight dominance of the bottom. However, as soon as the volume is turned up to a level that is higher than the middle, the bass begins to sag noticeably, and the top and middle begin to dominate, which results in a sound that is not very pleasant. It is unlikely that the blood will drain from the ears, but the quality of the sound will decrease to between 2.5 and 3 out of 5. If you intend to push this device to its limits by operating it in full power mode, then you should start out by giving careful attention to how it sounds in a live setting; otherwise, there is a possibility that you will be dissatisfied. The price is another factor that I believe contributed to the deficiencies. This sausage's price is comparable to the price of low-priced, high-quality stationary acoustics, so you get what you pay for. If you are not perplexed by any of the information presented above, then it is highly recommended that you buy this sausage. PS: I attempted to drive the subject while it was installed under the windshield of a friend's car, and the sound it produces is satisfactory, but it is not even close to being perfect (o5 because of the volume above average). Beaver everyone!

Pros
  • - appearance\s- compactness - having a weight that is not excessive - sound at a volume level that is not too loud - autonomy - volume - the capacity to consume food using a smartphone
Cons
  • - sound at a very loud volume - the cost - sounds of feedback (fortunately, there is an option to disable via jbl connect)
