My pair of Hifiman RE-400's broke for the millionth time so I thought I'd had enough. I looked around for cheap IEMs because I didn't want to spend another $70 on another pair of IEMs. Then I look at them and remember my friend had a pair and they sounded pretty decent. I looked up the prices and found it for $9. I immediately bought a pair. When they arrived I opened the package and took out the headphones. Yes they looked a bit cheap but what could I expect? I hooked it up to my computer and very quickly turned on the song. (SOUND UPDATE!) So it's been some time. The bottom section is smoothed out and not as crazy as before. It's really perfect now. I have no issues with these headphones and I no longer have any reason to equalize them. The floor is perfect. The high level is perfect, everything is perfect. Sound: They were immediately very bass-heavy. If you like heavy bass, these are perfect for you right out of the box. Then I opened the equalizer settings and made some adjustments. Once I adjusted the EQ, they sounded great. They weren't the best I've heard but for the price it is. Most IEMs at this price point either sound terrible or reduce bass and treble so much that even an EQ can't fix the problem. I am here to say that these are not the IEMs. I then plugged them into my phone and forgot I have an equalizer on my phone too, they sounded amazing. I went to check if the equalizer was on and it was indeed on. Just a simple low cut EQ. Physique: To be honest they seem weak but I can't say they break or anything like that. In my opinion, the Apple Earpods are weak and the build quality is amazing. So I don't know how to proceed. I will update this part in about a month or so. They have lasted much longer than the HifiMan RE-400 I replaced. I haven't played around with these headphones, but I didn't want to throw them around or anything. No cutouts on the headphones, nothing. These things don't even have a scratch. Isolation: This is an IEM, so isolation really depends on what attachments you're using. Normal nozzles insulate the sound to the outside quite well. Optional: Supplied with standard earphones S, M and L. One-button microphone. Fit: fits perfectly. I could imagine myself in them for a while. I just wouldn't sleep with them or anything for fear they might break. Conclusion: To be honest I can't find many cons. These headphones are the best you can get for the price. I bought them for less than $10. I would happily pay the extra $10 if something happens.
