Put to the test. . . and passed!

This item was purchased for a large door that has a heavy duty automatic closer fitted. The door opens inward, leaving a 2 inch gap between the door and the tile floor. First we tried "Wedge-It", an updated design of the stop that costs twice as much as this version from National Hardware. The combination of a heavy door, a large gap, and a tiled floor was too big for Wedge-It. However, the National Hardware Super Wedge is big enough for the gap and has enough flex for the rubber to be securely wedged underneath.
